Raglan Tribe, Managing Director of Mindsheet Limited.
As an entrepreneur or innovator, whether you are starting out in your own business or some way down the road, sometimes you need a bit of advice and reassurance on your path to success. I needed the same help when I left the corporate world and started my own business 6 years ago and that hunger for continual learning and improvement has never left me.
I’ve combined my 20 years of corporate knowhow with the ups and downs of running my own business. I went from being in charge of 1500 people to launching my own innovation consultancy business. I’ve been involved in many innovative product creations, some have been a rip roaring success and some have failed. But the lessons I’ve learnt are priceless. Creating or helping launch successful business ideas is my bread and butter now and I've developed Business Ideas Creator to build upon this.
My company, Mindsheet Ltd, works with many blue chip corporations to research, develop and deliver new products and services. Raglan's bio
Prior to the formation of Mindsheet, Raglan was the Group Research and Development Director of De La Rue plc. At De La Rue he was responsible for the delivery of their new product programme for supporting the introduction of the Euro currency. Developments included the Euro programme, new ATMs, cash handling equipment and the implementation of a number of Government Identity contracts.
Previously, Raglan had 12 years of automotive experience as the Chassis Systems Director of TRW Automotive, the R&D Director for Lucas Varity Automotive and Head of Advanced Product Development for Lucas Industries. In these roles he was responsible for the creation of the Chassis Systems Strategy, a technology consulting business as well as the delivery of many innovations in the field of steering, braking, collision avoidance and adaptive cruise control.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems and upon graduation he gained 5 years Systems Engineering experience at British Aerospace.
Ken Maclauchlan is Programme Director at Mindsheet, where he is responsible for the operational delivery of projects. He was a lead change agent and programme manager for a major automotive company, and has a proven capability to deliver complex projects.
Ken has extensive transport sector experience, including the development and testing of safety critical products. He spent four years at TRW Electric Power Steering Systems, where he worked as lead change agent and customer liaison and quality improvement manager, five years as Programme Manager and R&D Department Manager for TRW Advanced Product Development, and three years as Systems Engineer for Lucas Advanced Vehicle System Development., where he was involved in the development of the Lucas vehicle collision avoidance systems.
Ken has an MEng (Hons) in Microelectronic Systems Engineering from UMIST and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Catherine Dollery After many Director level PA positions at De La Rue, Catherine is now responsible for the smooth running of the Mindsheet operation. At Mindsheet, she manages events, client assignments and travel arrangements in addition to the accounts. We'd all be lost without her.
Yvette Mindel is responsible for marketing, market investigation and project co-ordination at Mindsheet. As part of her marketing role, Yvette performs market research and produces articles and newsletters on topics related to innovation and other key Mindsheet business activities.
Prior to joining Mindsheet, Yvette spent 12 years in the financial services sector in a variety of marketing, product development and client management related roles. Yvette has a BA (Hons) in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.
